LS2 Arrow Helmet Review

LS2 Arrow Helmet Review

Designed to meet the extensive demands of MotoGP, the all new LS2 Arrow is packed full of stand-out features you’d expect from a high quality race helmet. From the light weight shell, to the plush interior manufactured by LS2’s 3D laser technology, the Arrow is a full-throttle assault on the premier helmet market at a shocking $219.95 price point.

Once I got my hands on the helmet, the first thing I noticed was how light this thing is. LS2 claims an impressive 2.97 lbs, and I have no reason to disagree. For longer rides, benefits of a feather weight lid shines, and the Arrow would be high on my list. Once I opened her up on the highway, I could feel little resistance turning my head when switching lanes, thanks to the aerodynamic tri-composite fiberglass shell. The ultra-strong shell is ECE and DOT certified, which is what you would expect from a high performance helmet.  One of the design elements I liked was the extra-tall eye port that allowed me to look ahead when tucked in. The optically correct shield worked great, and the tool-less removal feature was perfect for swapping my tinted shield in and out.

I really got along with the way this helmet fit. LS2 goes out of their way to say “this model has a long oval fit,” which is aggressive like many race-inspired helmets. The fully removable and washable liner was plush and was more than comfy enough for me. LS2 has included emergency release cheek pads that pull out with ease, and while I didn’t need to use this functionality for an emergency, it made removal for washing a breeze. Speaking of breeze, the fully adjustable flow-through ventilation has kept my head fairly cool and comfortable every time I’ve gone out.

LS2 set out to create a high performance helmet to meet and exceed any rider’s needs. With top of the line safety certifications and race-fueled features, the LS2 Arrow is a great addition to any rider’s garage who wants MotoGP look and feel at a fantastic price.
